One Conversation With Our Mentor Can Change Everything
One Conversation With Our Mentor Can Change Everything
At Mentoring for Cause, we believe guidance should be generous, real, practical, and rooted in experience. We’re a volunteer-driven platform where professionals offer their time to support others — not just with advice, but with care, purpose, and the desire to see someone else grow.
Every conversation is a step forward — for both the learner and the mentor.
Why we do this
Our mission is to create meaningful learning experiences that not only guide individuals forward but also inspire a spirit of giving back. Every interaction here is driven by the belief that meaningful change begins with people helping people.
Who we are
We're a team of professionals who dedicate part of our day or week to lead this mission with purpose. We come from diverse backgrounds to listen with empathy, share what we've learned, and support learners on their journey to economic empowerment.
What we offer
We offer free career consultations and structured mentorship designed to connect, guide, and empower. Every session is rooted in real conversations, personal guidance, and the belief that growth happens through shared learning and care.
What we believe
We offer mentoring at no cost — not because it’s casual, but because it’s a cause. At Mentoring for Cause, we believe access to meaningful guidance shouldn’t depend on what someone can pay.
As they say, “Time is money.” Our mentors choose to donate their time to create impact, believing that the learners who find value in their sessions give back by donating to the Kahloon Foundation to support the larger causes we stand for — from education to healthcare and community economic empowerment.
Reflecting on my experiences, it became clear how mentorship shaped my professional journey, offering new perspectives and solutions to challenges I faced in the workplace. This personal growth through mentorship inspired a deeper reflection on how I could extend this transformative experience to others.
Leading the Kahloon Foundation, I witnessed firsthand the power of collective effort and its profound impact on communities. This experience highlighted the potential for mentorship to help the individuals grow and contribute to a more significant cause.
Through my Educational Podcast series, focused on economic empowerment, I explored the importance of knowledge sharing and its capacity to uplift others. This platform allowed me to connect with a broader audience, share insights, and foster a community dedicated to learning and growth.
These combined experiences culminated in the idea for "Mentoring for Cause," a unique fusion of mentorship with a philanthropic mission. It's about creating a space where professional development and social contribution go hand in hand, where every mentoring session not only aids in personal growth but also contributes to supporting communities.

Founder
Mentoring works best when it doesn’t stop at one conversation.
That’s why we created the Kahloon Circle — a space where learners, mentors, professionals, and changemakers continue the journey together. Inside this community, we share ideas, ask questions, exchange experiences, and grow together.
Join the circle. Be part of something meaningful.

A Win-Win for All!
This conversation of Khizar Kahloon with Justyna Mark explores the concept of mentoring and its benefits for both mentors and mentees.
It discusses the differences between mentoring, coaching, and career consultation, the qualities of a good mentor, practical steps for building a mentoring relationship, challenges mentors face, and signs of a strained relationship.
The conversation concludes with an overview of MentoringforCause and what it offers to program participants.
Mentoring is a personal developmental relationship where a more experienced or knowledgeable person helps guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. It's a powerful way to share skills, knowledge, and insights.
Mentoring is crucial for career growth as it provides personalized guidance, accelerates learning, and opens doors to new opportunities. It fosters confidence, encourages networking, and aids in navigating professional challenges.
This initiative intertwines mentoring with philanthropy, allowing both mentors and mentees to contribute to meaningful causes. It enhances the mentoring experience by adding a layer of purpose and social impact.
Mentors gain a sense of fulfillment and purpose by imparting their knowledge and witnessing the growth of their mentees. This role enhances their leadership, communication, and coaching skills, contributing to their own personal and professional development.
Mentees receive tailored guidance, support, and encouragement, helping them navigate their career paths more effectively. This personalized advice accelerates their learning, boosts their confidence, and opens up new opportunities for advancement.
Each mentoring session contributes to a larger mission, channeling support towards community initiatives. This collective effort not only fosters individual growth but also amplifies the impact on social causes, creating a cycle of giving and growth.
